Crockpot "Fried" Chicken

4 our CrockPot Wednesday I was very proud of this one so I had too share, I made Fried Chicken in the crockpot! It was amazing it fell apart and was so tender but at the same time had the fried chicken taste yummy! Move over KFC Candice is coming too town. My husband loved it and so did my parents and brother :) I severed it will red mash potatoes, white peppered gravy (I learn how too make it by scratch from my mom) and corn on the cob.
Trax felt a little left out and I know he really loves corn so I only had a little bite of my corn and handed over the cob too him. He went too town. He loved it.
I think it was too hard of work because the next thing we knew what he was fast asleep with his corn completely gone. I don't think my cob has ever been that empty he did a good job we don't waste food in this house.

Crockpot "Fried" Chicken

1 (2-3 lb) fryer, cut into serving pieces

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried sage leaves or oregano

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper

butter or vegetable oil

Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry.
Combine flour with remaining ingredients except butter.
Toss chicken pieces with flour mixture to coat.
In skillet, heat butter to 1/4-inch depth and cook chicken over medium-high heat until golden brown.
Place browned chicken in crock pot, adding wings first; add no liquid.
Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours.

I used chicken breasts because thats all we had in the house it made about 10 pieces. Its not crispy, its kinda like the original at KFC. Also I tried it on high and low the chicken was a little dry when it was on high.

GOOD LUCK!!!
